YMCA Camp Seymor Case Study
Non-Profit Video

The Requirement
The camp wanted a positive and upbeat video, and as their tagline is “Adventure Awaits”, we really wanted to get this across in the final product!
A key requirement was to try and include all of the beautiful scenery and well-known features that people associate with Camp Seymour. This was because the video was aimed at people who are familiar with or have visited/worked at the camp previously.
The client also wanted viewers to feel a pull towards the call to action (“Send a Child to Camp”), so this was one of our focus points when making the video.
The Solution
An informative, persuasive video for a great cause!
Camp Seymour had strong and particular brand guidelines, and a tight deadline to follow. So when it came to storyboard, the pressure was on to get it right. Sophie, our illustrator, achieved this by following the guidelines closely and allowing time for client feedback. The client was so pleased with the storyboard – especially the design of the camp’s famous chicken coop, the climbing tower and the marine touch tanks – that after only a few tweaks, it was off to the animation stage!
At the animation stage, Andrew was tasked with injecting fun into the storyline. He used his animation skills to bring the characters to life and keep everything flowing at an energetic pace. The video was greatly received by the client who was also impressed with the quick turnaround.
